George Lawrence Armitage letters and photograph, 1918-1919.

This collection consists of letters sent by George Lawrence Armitage to his parents in Savannah, Georgia and later Charleston, South Carolina. The letters discuss his experiences in both England and France during World War I. The letter dated May 23, 1918, includes a photograph showing Armitage's class following training on reaction to mustard gas.
